Vacancy Notice for Position of Private Sector Partnerships IG Assistant (F2F Support)

UNHCR Representation in the Republic of Korea

  

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Representation in the Republic of Korea is inviting applications for a position of Private Sector Partnerships IG Assistant (F2F Support).

 

I. Summary of Position   

The Private Sector Partnerships IG Assistant will be responsible for developing, administrating, and monitoring a workforce planning strategy and associated processes for the In-house Face-to-Face fundraising program as well as performing administrative duties.

 

II. Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent will perform the following duties:

 

Human Resources for the In-house Face-to-Face Fundraising Workforce

1. Prepare and participate in recruitment process of In-house Face-to-Face Fundraisers to fill vacant positions, including application review, interview, test, etc.;

2. Respond to external inquiries regarding the In-house Face-to-Face program recruitment; 

3. Conduct new Face-to-Face fundraiser orientation and induction;

4. Keeps record of performance reviews, promotions, warnings, and terminations and perform benefits administration including leave and payroll;

5. Monitor adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and code of conduct and coordinate relevant trainings when needed;

6. Monitor external recruitment activities and conduct salary surveys to ensure competitiveness of UNHCR’s Face-to-Face program;

7. Analyse recruitment results and suggest strategies for improvement;

8. Handle budget and manage cost associated with In-house Face-to-Face workforce operations;

9. Prepare issuance and termination of new or extension contracts of Face-to-Face Fundraisers in a timely manner;

 

Administration

1. Assist in procurement processes for Face-to-Face activities including the preparation of RFQs or RFPs, receipt of quotations, bids or proposals in compliance with the procurement standards and rules;

2. Review and monitor small budget expenses of In-house Face-to-Face Fundraisers;

3. Ensure other effective administrative supports are in place;

 

Other

1. Report on the results and work progress to the Face-to-face Fundraising In-house Program Manager in a professional manner;

2. Give support for UNHCR’s private sector fundraising work as a team member;

3. Perform other duties as required.

 

III. Required Qualifications  

1. University degree in preferably Business, Secretary Administration, Marketing, or Communication

2. In lieu of degree, 1 year of relevant work experience

3. Excellent communication skills

4. Strong interpersonal skills

5. Analytical, decision-making and management skills

6. Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

7. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

8. Ability to learn new systems quickly and create improved efficiency

9. Fluency in Korean and English (both written and spoken)

 

IV. Duration of Contract 

Six-month probationary period with a possibility to extend contract on a yearly basis depending upon her/his satisfactory performance

 

V. Recruitment Schedule

1. Application submission: Thursday, 23 September 2021 ~ Wednesday, 6 October 2021

2. Notification of selected candidates: Thursday, 7 October 2021 ~ Wednesday, 13 October 2021

3. Interview with tests: Thursday, 14 October 2021 ~ Wednesday, 20 October 2021

* Interview will include English test.

4. Announcement of final selection: October 2021

5. Scheduled first working date: November 2021

*The above recruitment schedule may be adjusted and if necessary, scheduled first working day may be negotiated for the selected candidate.
