Business Operations Associate

Location: New York, NY
 
Recruiting is a core strategic driver of Facebook's success. The Business Planning & Operations team within Recruiting People Planning drives strategic business planning and the cross-functional execution of recruiting priorities to support our ambitions and our ability to scale to the next level. We are looking for a Business Operations Associate to work at the intersection of business planning, operations, and project management. This role requires strategic thinking, building connections and influencing, an analytical mindset, and a bias towards action. You will be challenged to understand and contribute to rapidly changing business priorities, drive collaboration across teams, and develop operations and process based recommendations to business leaders to solve problems and achieve goals. Successful candidates for this team will have exceptional strategic and critical thinking skills, an astute ability to partner and communicate, and know-how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast.
 
Business Operations Associate Responsibilities
  •  Serve as primary point of contact for operations leads on day to day operations and process
  •  Lead bi-weekly tactical operations meeting to facilitate consistent awareness and alignment on nuances and initiatives that impact staffing and operations leads
  •  Support annual business planning initiatives in partnership with Recruiting leaders and finance, and serve as finance’s primary point of contact for ongoing expense management and tracking
  •  Partners with workforce planning, location strategy, and others across the organization to ensure that centrally managed processes are achievable and operationally sound, and that path to execution is clear and documented
  •  Manages the location model, responsible for ensuring that location strategy is reflected in the workforce planning process
  •  Responsible for knowledge management within the People Planning team, ensuring that information and process documentation are recent and available. Includes active management of the Tactical Ops workplace group
  •  Supports Business Reviews by developing slides and reporting while performing the necessary due diligence
  •  Maintains operational reporting and dashboards (e.g. Business Ops Dashboard) as well as identifies new opportunities to centralize existing operational reporting to support growth and scale
  •  Identifies new opportunities to streamline workflow between central teams and operational functions, with a goal of unlocking the ability for teams to achieve their goals and objectives
Minimum Qualifications
  •  6+ years of business operations and strategic planning experience
  •  Experience solving problems using data and providing practical business insights through presentations and reporting
  •  Experience communicating effectively with a variety of audiences (internal, external, 1:1 and at scale)
  •  Experience influencing leaders through an understanding of business and ecosystem needs
  •  Experience resolving and communicating about issues with both data driven and non-data driven audiences
  •  Experience working with Excel to analyze data and develop reporting
Preferred Qualifications
  •  Bachelors or Advanced Degree
  •  Experience working with international or cross-functional teams
  •  Experience with budget and financial management
  •  Experience with business and/or data modeling
  •  Experience developing reports in Tableau and/or Visier
  •  Experienced at influencing and advising senior stakeholders
  •  Experience in the business analysis of processes, metrics, workflows, or operations
