Our division works on some of the most complex transactions in the market today. Whether advising on a merger, providing financial solutions for an acquisition, or structuring a capital market offering, we handle projects that help clients at major milestones. We work with corporations, financial sponsors, and governments and are team of strong analytical thinkers, who have a passion for producing out-of-the-box ideas.

The Korea Advisory Team provides corporate clients in Korea with advice, access to financing and execution expertise across a wide range of investment banking products. Our Korea Advisory Team provides advisory and financing services to the leading players in the sectors we cover. Our group offers a wide range of products, including M&A advisory, equity and debt financing, structured finance, risk management/hedging and co-investing. Given the dynamic nature of our coverage scope, our group offers an exciting and fast-paced environment with tremendous opportunity to contribute and grow.

Our Associates play an important role in developing and strengthening our client relationships, participating on our advisory teams and in structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. Their responsibilities include creating and analyzing financial models, organizing and preparing client presentations, helping manage transaction processes, and assisting in structuring transactions. They will gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and expand their knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications and marketing skills.

Associates develop financial models, perform customized company valuation analysis, and are actively involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and fixed income and equity issuances. They organize and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, assess clients’ situations to provide the necessary financial advice, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Additionally, Associates coordinate teams of tax advisors, attorneys, and bankers for various transactions; lead due diligence processes and actively participate in the negotiations of legal documentation. From maintaining client communication to helping Goldman Sachs structure client transactions, our Associates are core to Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a financial discipline    
• Minimum 2 years investment banking or equivalent experience 
• History of outstanding academic and professional achievement 
• Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members in multiple groups and regions 
• Native Korean fluency required
