Point72 is a global asset management firm that depends on the work of its Portfolio Managers (PMs) and Analysts. PMs make investments, but Analysts do the deep and thorough fundamental research on which they rely. Today’s Analysts are tomorrow’s PMs and Point72 invests a lot of time in finding and training them. That’s why we started the Point72 Academy – to train the next generation of Point72 Analysts.

Point72 Academy Financial Analyst Program

Students interested in investing careers who are graduating in Fall 2017 or Spring 2018 are invited to apply to our 12-month full-time program, which starts in August 2018. You will experience over 2500 hours of training from Academy staff including Director Jaimi Goodfriend, Point72 investment professionals, and outside experts. You will also be paired with a mentor – an experienced Financial Analyst – who will help you navigate the Firm and your career.

Point72 provides a competitive salary and visa sponsorship. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be considered for a permanent position. Here’s what you can expect:

MONTHS 1-8 in New York

Academics & Fundamental Research

Learn the fundamental skills needed to be a great Analyst from Point72 professionals and other best-in-class experts: statistics, accounting, financial modeling, data analysis, coding, and more.

MONTHS 9-12 in Hong Kong or Singapore

Investing Team Rotations

Apply the skills you’ve developed in eight months of intensive training to real-life situations as you rotate with up to three investing teams.

• will receive a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Fall 2017 or Spring 2018
• have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.4/4.0 (or equivalent)
• You are fluent (written and spoken) in English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), Japanese, or Korean
• are mature, extremely bright, self-motivated, and eager to learn
• demonstrate a passion for the capital markets
• have a fierce commitment to integrity
• can manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• have strong analytical, writing, verbal communication, and technical skills

International experience and visa sponsorship – Academy Analysts spend the first eight months of the program training in our New York City office; the last four months of the program are spent working on investing teams in our Hong Kong or Singapore offices.
