Firm Profile:
Orbis manages several performance-driven equity funds in both long-only and absolute return strategies. The firm, which was founded in 1989 by Allan Gray, employs a long-term, fundamental, and contrarian investment philosophy. Since inception, Orbis has grown from $67 million under management to over $35 billion today. The firm is headquartered in Bermuda and employs approximately 400 people globally, with investment teams located in Hong Kong, London, and San Francisco. Orbis is privately owned by its executives and the founding family’s charitable foundation; collectively they are also a large investor in the funds. Orbis partners with Cape Town-based Allan Gray Limited and Sydney-based Allan Gray Australia, sharing the same founder and investment philosophy.

Orbis in Hong Kong:
Orbis currently has approximately $10 billion invested in global Emerging Markets equities. The Hong Kong office has a staff of 13, including 8 Investment Analysts providing Emerging Markets equity investment recommendations. The team is international and diverse. The successful candidate will join at a time when we further build our Emerging Markets capabilities, offering significant opportunities for a motivated individual.
