Five startup teams won grand prize and excellence awards in late June at an SK-sponsored startup contest co-hosted by the Yonsei School of Business and the Yonsei Enterprise Support Foundation.
Grand Prize winners were Bit Chat, with a Braille machine for the vision impaired, and Auto-Research with a modular automatic experimental assistant program. Awards of excellence went to the Codeit, KOTEL, and Dae Mul Rim teams. Their entries were, respectively, an online educational app in coding, a quiz show app, and a free extracurricular service.
The five winning teams were selected from 11 competitors. The Bit Chat team attracted considerable attention because all the team members met in the “Startup 404: Creative Problem Solving for the Community” course. The judges were headed by SK Manager Seung Hee Lee.
